Curt Ellis

Since graduating from Yale College with a degree in History in 2002, Curt Ellis has built a reputation as a leading public thinker in the national discussion on food and agriculture. He co-created the 2007 Peabody-winning documentary King Corn, produced The Greening of Southie, directed and produced the short film Big River, and served a two-year term as a Food and Society Fellow with the WK Kellogg Foundation. Ellis is co-founder of the Brooklyn-based documentary production company Wicked Delicate, and a member of the board of directors of Slow Food USA. He has been interviewed about sustainability and food production by NPR, Good Morning Americaand The New York Times, and last year delivered more than 30 talks outlining his vision for the future of food and farming. Ellis’ attention is now focused on launching the national AmeriCorps school garden program FoodCorps, which promises to combat childhood obesity while training a new generation of farmers.
